Day-19 Class 3-5 We Love Reading: తెలుగు నీతి కథ : వల వేసిన కోతి

అనగనగా ఒక రోజు ఒక కోతి అడవిలో చెట్టు మీద కూర్చుని బాగా బోర్ అయిపొయింది. చేయడానికి ఏమి పని లేదు.
కొంచం సేపు కొమ్మలు పట్టుకుని ఊగింది, చెట్టుమీద వెళ్ళాడింది; అరిటి పండు తిన్నది;
చెట్టు పైకి కిందకి ఎక్కి దిగింది, ఇలా రక రకాలగా కాలక్షేపం చేసుకోవడానికి ప్రయత్నం చేసింది.
కాని అలాగే రెస్ట్ లెస్ గా వుంది.
ఇంతట్లో ఇద్దరు చేపలు పట్టే వాళ్ళు కనిపించారు. కోతి వాళ్ళిద్దరిని ఫాలో చేసింది.
వారిద్దరూ ఒక చెరువు గట్టు కి వెళ్ళి, చేపలు పట్టడానికి వల వేసారు. కొన్ని నిమిషాలలోనే చాలా చేపలు పట్టారు. చేపలను వలలోంచి తీసి, కడిగి, శుభ్రం చేసుకుని ఒక బుట్టలో వేసుకున్నారు.
ఇంతలో భోజనం సమయమైంది. ఇద్దరు లంచ్ తినడానికి వెళ్ళారు.
మళ్ళీ వద్దామన్న ఉద్దేశంతో వల అక్కడే వదిలేసారు.
ఇదంతా చాలా కుతూహలంగా చూస్తున్న కోతి, “ఓస్! చేపలు పట్టడం ఇంత సులువా?” అనుకుంది.
నేలమీద పడున్న వల తీసి నీళ్ళల్లోకి వేయ బోయింది. కాని అది కనిపించినంత సులువు కాదు. చేపలు పట్టే వాళ్ళు సమత్సరాల తరపడి కృషి చేస్తే వచ్చే విద్య. ఇలా చూసి, అలా చేసేసేది కాదు కదా!
వల వచ్చి కోతి తలపై వాలింది. కోతి తన వలలో తానే చిక్కుకుంది.
అందులోంచి బయట పడాలని చిందులేస్తుంటే డుబుక్కు మని చెరువులో పడిపోయింది!
కాళ్ళూ చేతులూ వలలో చిక్కుకు పోయాయి, ఈదడం రాదు, కోతి గోల గోల పెట్టేసింది. ఇది విన్న చేపల వాళ్ళు ఏమి జరుగుతోందా అని చూడడానికి వచ్చారు.
కోతి చేసిన పని చూసి తిట్టుకుంటూ కోతిని నీళ్ళలోంచి లాగి వలలోంచి విడిపించారు.
ఎవ్వరి పని వారే చేస్తే మంచిదని తెలుసుకుని, కోతి తల వంచుకుని అక్కడ నుంచి వెళ్ళిపోయింది.
ఆ రోజు తరువాత యెంత బోర్ కొట్టిన చేపలు పట్టాలని మట్టుక్కు అనుకోలేదు!

The Proud Rose – Moral Story in English
Once upon a time, there was a beautiful rose plant in a garden.
A rose flower on the plant was proud of its beauty. However, it was disappointed that it was growing next to an ugly cactus.
Every day, Rose used to insult the cactus for its looks, but the cactus kept silent.
All the other plants in the garden tried to stop Rose from threatening the cactus, but Rose was so impressed by her beauty that she could not listen to anyone.
One summer, a well in the garden dried up and there was no water for the plants.
The rose slowly began to wither. Rose saw a sparrow dipping its beak into the cactus for some water. At this point, Rose felt embarrassed making fun of the cactus.
But because he needed water, he went to ask the cactus if it could hold some water. The kind-hearted Cactus agreed, and they both met as friends over the summer.
Moral of the Story Never judge someone by the way they look.
