కొన్ని సందర్భాలలో  VVPAT యొక్క బ్యాటరీ  melt అవుతున్న సంగతి  ECI  దృష్టికి రాగా...
Technical Expert Committee సిఫారసు మేరకు..
presiding ఆఫీసర్లు పోలింగ్ ప్రక్రియ ముగిసిన వెంటనే పోలింగ్ ఏజెంట్ల సమక్షంలో  VVPAT యొక్క బ్యాటరీలను తొలగించి....
 ఆతర్వాత మాత్రమే VVPAT ను carrying case లో ఉంచి పోలింగ్ ఏజెంట్ల సమక్షంలో సీల్ చేయాలి
దీనిని స్ట్రిక్ట్ గా ఫాలో అవ్వాలని ECI తేల్చి చెప్పింది

Subject: Instructions on use of Power Pack (Battery) in VVPATs-regarding'

Sir/Madam,

I am directed to state that some instances of VVPAT Batter,v meltin-s came to the
notice of the commission, following rvhich the matter u,as ref-erred to the Technical Expert
Committee (TEC) fbr Root Cause analysis and guidance'
considering the recommendations of the Technical E'xpert committee' the
commission has directed that after completion of poll. the Presiding officer shall remore the
power pack (battery) from vvPAT in the presence of polling agents' onl1' after removal of
power pack (battery) form vvPAT. the carryins case of VVPAT shall be sealed in the

presence of Polling agents.
