Ref: Review meeting held on 12.08.2022 with all the VTPS by Commissioner, School Education on Implementation of Vocational Education in schools
It is informed that NEP 2020 emphasizes the integration of Vocational Education with General Academic Education with an objective of expanding the exposure of vocational Education to 50% of learners by 2025 and to 100% by 2030 and to Develop Skill based Activities and Experiential Learning, providing Career Guidance and Counselling activities, and to create more avenues for vertical mobility to the students.
The State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha has conducted a review meeting on 12.08.2022 with all Vocational Training Partners (VTPs). Vocational Coordinators (VCS) concerned & reviewed on the following items and noticed the following
Training done at School activities: As per the Academic Calendar 3 period per week level where Vocational Education was taught on par with the regular Subjects. But most of Headmaster/Principals not allotted the periods for Vocational Education. Follow the SCERT Academic Calendar without any deviation.
Laboratory and other infrastructure facilities for Vocational Education: Even though the State Project Director released the Budget to the APCs of Rs. 11.60 Crores in the year for 2021-22 to set up Laboratories in Vocational Education. But no Laboratory and other infrastructure facilities are not provided so far.
Tracking on Trained Students in Schools: Concerned Headmasters Principals are to be Students in Schools provided the entire details of vocational education students of Level 2 (from 2017-18 to 2021-22) and Level-4/2019-2020 to 2021-2022) for tracking and to identify the progress of the Students.
Online attendance System: Concerned Headmasters Principals are to provided the entire details of vocational education students of Level-2 and Level-4 and Vocational Trainers for monitoring of online attendance system
Payment of Salaries to the Vocational Trainers regularly: Even though the State Project Director released the Budget to the APCS for payments of Honorarium to the Vocational Training Partners, some the APCs are not yet released. It is instructed that after receipt of invoices from the Vocational Training Partners, the payment will be cleared within 10 days. Any deviation in the matter will not be entertained.
Therefore, all the District Educational Officers & Ex-Officio Project Coordinators and all Assistant Project Coordinators, Samagra Shiksha are instructed to instructions for streamlining the Vocational Education scheme in the state.
